The stores

Bravo Farms runs two roadside stores, in Traver and Kettleman City, with registers, label printers, back-office machines, phones and an online store between them.

Since 2021 we've been the people they call for all of it.

What the engagement covers

Remote management

Sixteen registers and office machines across both stores are enrolled in remote management, and the inventory of what is at each counter is kept from it.

Backups that are checked

The point-of-sale database is backed up with a checksum, verified, and only then copied off-site to storage we run. An alert fires when a backup fails to arrive, and a weekly integrity check runs against the database.

Registers

New tills are set up from one standard kit and recorded with the hardware at each one.

Phones

The store's phones moved off copper onto VoIP — and when the carrier answered with an unauthorized contract, we filed the FCC complaint that ended it.

Written down

A knowledge base of how each store actually works — the quirks, the vendor contacts, the reason a setting is the way it is — kept as things are learned.
